Problem
- Travellers needed to search, compare and book real flights and tours — on the web and on their phones — without getting lost in a complex booking journey.
- Flight data had to come live from global distribution systems (Sabre, Amadeus) using IATA codes, through one backend serving both web and mobile.
My role
- At Creative Inter Tech, on the B2B travel platforms (AA Tourism, City Arrivals).
- Built the booking journey in Nuxt 2: search forms, flight lists, filters and step-by-step booking.
- Worked across the stack so live GDS data flowed from the Laravel APIs to the web and React Native apps reliably and consistently.
Architecture & key decisions
- Laravel backend exposing the booking APIs and integrating Sabre and Amadeus (flight search and availability, mapped by IATA codes).
- Nuxt 2 (Vue) web app with Vuex for search and booking state; Buefy and Bootstrap components on a custom SCSS theme.
- React Native mobile app on the same Laravel APIs, so web and mobile share one booking backend.

Challenges
- Keeping a multi-step booking flow simple while showing a lot of live flight data.
- One backend and consistent behaviour across web and mobile with real-time results.
Results
- Live platform at aatourism.ca with real-time flight search and booking on web and mobile.
- Part of the B2B travel platforms serving 10K+ monthly users.
